betty_ann_moonBetty Ann Moon was born on December 13, 1932 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. She passed July 23rd, 2015 in Plano, Texas. Betty Ann is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Doris Turner, Brother Mack Turner, and Sister Nelwyn Turner Brown. Betty Ann is survived by her Husband John A. Moon of Angel Fire, New Mexico, Daughter Stephanie Moon-James and husband Edward James of Plano, Texas, Daughter Melanie Moon and Husband Christopher Banner and granddaughter Isabelle Rose Moon Banner of Santa Fe, New Mexico as well as many dear friends and family.

Betty Ann Moon graduated from King High School Kingsville, Texas then continued her higher education at Texas A&I University, Kingsville, Texas and North Texas University, Denton, Texas. Betty Ann married John A. Moon 62 years ago on February 11, 1953 at First Baptist Church of Nacogdoches, Texas. During Betty Ann’s lifetime she had many accomplishments: organizing member and President of the Angel Fire Garden Club, former member of the Angel Fire Ladies Golf Association, former member of the Angel Fire Rotary Club, as well as a former member of the Angel Fire Trekkers Hiking Club. She was an avid professional photographer and over the years enjoyed golfing, playing Bridge, hiking, water skiing, tennis and “messin’ with Isabelle”.

Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, August 8th, 2015 at the Angel Fire Baptist Church with Reverend Bryan Nystrom officiating. A Celebration of Betty Ann’s Life will follow immediately after the service at The Angel Fire Resort Hotel on August 8, 2015.
