Donna Pedace, the Rotary Friendship Exchange District Chair, spoke today and she presented very interesting travel opportunities that we all should take advantage of. Â Three of these programs are available to anyone just by signing up for the International Fellowship online at the RI site. Â These other three travel fellowship programs are:
Donna manages a Rotary group exchange program where our District signs up to host visiting Rotarians and they in exchange will then host us. Â Groups can range in size from 6 – 12 people and Rotarians sign up to host a couple or a single traveler in their home for 2 – 4 nights and show them the local sites. Â Send Donna your email if you want to be included on her email d’list: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We also reminded folks about their duties at the Oktoberfest and we could use more volunteers so if you are not signed up to do something, call Bret Wier at 575-613-2313 to find out where he still needs help. Golfers who participate in the Golf Outing have a chance to win a car if they get a hole in one on Hole Number 6 and will also get a $ 100 gift certificate just for showing up at any GM dealer for a test drive.
We sack for ALM this Sunday at 12:30 at the Baptist Church.  ALM can use donations of canned vegetables as none were delivered from the Food Depot.  Peas, green beans and corn are the most popular.  Donations can be brought to the Baptist Church or brought to a Rotary meeting.
All three Rio Grande Academy sessions will be offered in Santa Fe Sat. Oct. 24 and Sunday morning Oct. 25. Â The Inn at Santa Fe is available for only $ 69 per night. Details and Registration is online at the District web site.
